Organic Farming Standards

DEMETER Standard

Demeter Standard is the strictest standard for organic agriculture worldwide. The Standard is an agreement on the minimum requirements that a biodynamically managed farm must meet in order to receive its Demeter recognition. Demeter farms are inspected annually for compliance with the Standard in addition to the organic inspection.

Bio Suisse Standard

For an operation outside Switzerland to receive certification in accordance with Bio Suisse Standards, it must already be in possession of a valid certification under EU Regulation 2018/848 or equivalent and must also comply with Bio Suisse Standards.
The application to be certified as a BIOSUISSE ORGANIC operation is usually carried out by a Swiss importer who is a Bio Suisse licensee. This is the ideal basis for enabling a BIOSUISSE ORGANIC operation product to be marketed within Switzerland.

KRAV Standard

KRAV is Sweden’s most recognized sustainability label for food and beverages, based on ecological principles with high standards particularly in animal welfare, biodiversity, social responsibility, and climate impact. KRAV labels are registered trademarks with the Swedish Patent and Registration Office. Registration grants KRAV Association the sole and exclusive rights over the trademark. Companies that comply with the standards, are KRAV certified, and pay the license fee may use the KRAV trademark. https://www.krav.se/en/

Naturland Standard

Naturland was founded in 1982. The work of association is governed by the Naturland e.V. statutes. Organic, social and fair: these three pillars of sustainability are the foundation of Naturland’s holistic approach and are what sets its partners apart from the many other suppliers on the organic market.
